Harianjogja.com, JOGJA—Taylor Swift merilis lagu terbaru berjudul Carolina. Lagu ini terinspirasi dari kisah dalam novel Where the Crawdads Sing karya Delia Owens.

"Sekitar satu setengah tahun yang lalu, saya menulis lagu tentang kisah yang luar biasa. Kisah seorang gadis yang hidup di luar, melihat ke dalam. Secara kiasan dan harfiah," tulis Taylor melalui akun Instagram pribadinya, dikutip dari Fox News, Minggu (26/6/2022).

"Penjajaran kesepian dan kemandirian. Kerinduan dan keheningannya. Keingintahuan dan ketakutannya, semuanya terjerat. Kelembutan yang gigih dan pengkhianatan dunia terhadapnya. Saya menulis ini sendirian di tengah malam dan lalu Aaron Dessner dan saya dengan cermat mengerjakan lagu yang kami rasa akan otentik pada saat cerita ini terjadi," imbuhnya.
